RECOMMENDED COVID-19 SERVICES by Meurice
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has recognized dry cleaning and laundry as an essential business due to the transmission of the bacteria through clothing. As a member of the Dry Cleaning and Laundry Institute (DLI), we are among the leading dry cleaners of the world who are working together to share protocols and disinfecting practices that eliminate the virus. We believe it is crucial for the public to take sanitary precautions with our virus-mitigation services as we head deeper into lockdown enforcement, especially if all viruses can be eliminated in the drying of dry cleaning.
Dry Cleaning & Laundering
Our staple dry cleaning and laundering services are in compliance with the protocol set by the CDC. All garments are cleaned at the proper temperature to mitigate flu viruses. We recommend that all clients should send in bed linens and bath linens at least 1-2 times per week. All garments sent in should be in a liner such as a garbage bag to prevent contamination.
Interior Cleaning
Targeted high contact areas (such as children’s rooms, living rooms, kitchens, etc.) sanitization to hard surfaces. Carpet, rug, and drapes are also recommended for interior cleaning as they trap allergens and bacteria. Call for a consultation: (347) 366-9603 or marleen@meurice.nyc. View interior services here.
Suede, Leather & Fur
All suede, leather, and fur are specially cleaned with a separate, non-invasive procedure that will protect the integrity of the textile while still eliminating flu viruses. Due to the nature of the textile, it cannot be cleaned at the same temperature as dry cleaning. View services here.
If you have any questions or concerns about the handling of your garments, read about our safety protocols and our response to COVID-19 here. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions about a specific garment or area in your home.
